My human name is Brando. For years I have been an art director for the major record labels and have had a great platform to show my art. At the beginning of the year I left that career to take the year to travel the world and just paint/draw every day. These have been the most content and fulfilling months of my life – being able to create solely for myself.
I will now be taking my chances as a full time painter and it is a really exciting venture.
I practice and love all types of art, but Baroque has always been the favorite. Each day I draw figures so I will eventually be at a place where I can create a scene without needing photographic references.
My dream is to paint beautiful Baroque compositions with a modern touch and be able to incorporate my friends as subjects so the art can hold value in multiple directions.
I still consider myself new to oil painting – being able to learn from Old Masters Academy would make me fluent in all aspects of the paintings I wish to achieve.
I have looked into many local classes and tried to find tutors on youtube, but none have compared to the teaching depth I have seen in just the previews of Old Masters Academy.
I spent 4 years at an art academy earning a bachelor of fine arts degree – where I learned nothing. It was a structure built to collect money and not create art. My goal is not to make money, my friends say that I’m allergic to it, I just want to create art for personal therapy and share it with the world who may find their own therapy in it.
