Story from Ivo, Old Masters Academy student
My name is Ivo Bulicic, age 71, now finally enjoying enough quality time to revert to my ever-lasting passion – painting. My carrier of Master of Electrical/Mechanical engineering, as it could be expected, has not been an inviting environment for practicing necessary painting techniques, nevertheless I’ve been striving as much as I could. I am now happy to be able to advance into more complex techniques and knowledge.
It was an exiting opportunity for me to join the Old Masters Academy and after completing all exercises I would like to extend profound gratitude to Academy Tutor, Natalie Richy and her Team for such an affordable, yet very helpful and highly productive educational approach to the subject.
It has enabled me to improve and widen my skills, enriching them with a specific multi-layer and glazing techniques.

Ivo, CONGRATULATION, I have spent 8 days in an intense course in Florence, Italy learning techniques of the Renaissance period. Water gilding, how to make egg tempera with the original methods paper prep..etc. as having a Master in Chemical Engineering I was very interested in the methods.
Your painting is stunning, looks like a Renaissance painting, so beautiful.
My teacher in Florence, when I showed him the Old Master academy and Drawing academy program and web site told me that I should definitely take the courses as one could never find a similar one in modern days USA Academies.
