Art is the only reason for living for me

My life is ART. I have been drawing since 6 and using paint when I was 10 I was asked to paint posters and class mural painting for special events with a couple of other students. I continued my art through high school won a province wide competition to enter Ontario Art College on scholarship in Grade 12 unfortunately my parents were poor and there was no money to buy supplies for the course. I was also told by my mother I did not need an education because my career would be to marry and have children not to fill my head with learning that would only make trouble.

I painted and created on my own and through night school at the Ontario College of Art after my day job when I was in my late 30’s I entered some art competitions and art clubs and won awards and newspaper reviews for my work.
However a severe accident led to many operations and mobility challenges. I am art interrupted but not dead. I dream live breathe art have art supplies now but need to learn technique and renew my skills.

I have always been immersed in the paintings and beauty of form colour composition techniques of the Old Masters. I wish to bring beauty back into the world at this time. I believe in the healing properties of art.

I forgot the rules of technique composition colour theory in fact almost everything – I need this course to heal myself too. My creative mind is anxious to get a reboot Art is the only reason for living for me. It is bottled up waiting to participate in bringing joy and wonder.
