As a child I copied the old masters drawings

As a child I loved drawing and copied the old masters drawings. I applied to art college and decided to do graphic design. I had a liking for typography. I did not loose my interest in art and studied history and visited art galleries.

I did odd illustrations and drawings in graphite and in watercolour. It wasn’t until I retired last year that I rekindled my love of painting and I even tackled some oils.

My regret is that I never continued my academic study of the classical methods of painting and drawing. It has taken a lifetime to realise my short comings, I continue to struggle and would love to take part in this competition.

I have been watching the Old masters Academy for some time now but am unable to purchase the course. I know I would benefit greatly and it’s what I need to do to bring me up to the next level.
