… When I was young I wanted to draw and paint like the old masters, but unfortunatelly that school was “outdated” (I was told).
Hence, not having really where to learn I did some self studies, mainly from books.
Now that internet is here, I realize my old dream of drawing and painting figuratively is alive and kicking.
The Covid obliged us to stay home and change some of our plans. Because of that I took some courses that would enhance my drawing abilities.

My desire is to make a living out of painting and serving the world with my art.
Every day I dedicate between 1 to 2 hours to drawing. I am mainly interested in portraits. That has been my passion since I was a child. …

… With a fascination of Leonardo da Vinci for many years, it took a hospital visit and the chance reading of “The Saviour of the World” to renew my passion for painting , in particular Fine Art and Renaissance. The Old Masters have been a fascination for the world and reading the story and history of Salvator Mundi, motivated me to channel Leonardo’s technique and spirit. The painting was completed in August 2021 is a replica of the original Salvator Mundi. Hi! My name is Rebecca and I love drawing. When I was little I was always creating things with objects from around my house. Now I am older I don’t do that as much but I love drawing and my favourite kind of artwork at the moment is collage. I have suffered with mental disabilities and was told by a few people that I wouldn’t do much in life even though they didn’t say it like that they said it underhandedly. I used to find studying and academic work incredibly hard but now I totally love learning new things.

Old Masters Academy is a great place to learn how to paint in oils the professional way.

Our students notably improve their art skills after watching the video lessons and doing assignments under personal guidance of the academy tutors. In this course, students learn traditional oil painting techniques that are no longer taught in contemporary art colleges. They discover time-proven methods of oil painting that were developed by the old masters and learn how to use those methods and techniques when painting with modern materials. These new skills help our students to create better paintings, attract more commissions and become professional artists.

As long as I can remember art has been the essence of my life. It nourished me when I was lonely and without art I would have died for sure, as life was very painful. It was as if all my nerve ends were exposed at the surface of my body, so whatever was said or done which wasn’t tender and sweet, came as destroying swords into me. And there was so much hate and sorrow around me….

So I drew. And made little figures out of what material I found. Going to the Art Academy was the most logical step. I couldn’t relate to the atmosphere of Art Galleries and I preferred to work free in commissions.
So whatever I did, portraits, jewellery, books, applied arts, seize didn’t matter but the people I worked for had to be sweet. …

I am in my studio every day

I am a seasoned woman of three generations painting as a biblical storyteller through my art.
